Profile Q&A: The Fine Brothers

If you haven’t heard of Rafi and Benni Fine, you haven’t surfed enough YouTube. Their comedy channel is the 30th most subscribed channel on the site. One of their most popular video series captures viewers reactions to a variety of viral videos and pressing topics, so we wanted to see how the Emmy Winners would react to the Profile Questionnaire. (And, as a web bonus, we highly recommend the video embedded below, in which they put the elderly through Gangam Style)

What is your motto?

Benni: I build products that fulfill needs and wants for fun and profit.

 

What is your present state of mind?

Rafi: Determined.

 

What is your idea of happiness?

Benni: A balance of hard work and success with downtime to experience life’s wonders.

 

Who or what is the greatest love of your life?

Rafi: The look on people’s faces when they are entertained by our content.

 

What is your favorite food?

Benni: Sushi, all night long.

 

What can you see from your desk?

Rafi: A wall of ideas. 

 

What do you admire most about your family?

Benni: Their unwavering support to allow us to find our dreams.

 

The three qualities you most admire in yourself?

Rafi: Perseverance, honesty, and transparency.

 

The three qualities you most admire in others?

Benni: Compassion, trust, and open communication.

 

Would your childhood self be surprised at how you’ve turned out?

Rafi: Yes. I was supposed to be a learned Rabbi of some kind back then.

 

What do you consider your biggest achievement?

Benni: I feel like I’m still not there yet. There’s more to come, but knowing two million people have decided to subscribe to our content online is humbling.

 

Who are your favorite business leaders?

Rafi: Walt Disney.

 

Who are your heroes?

Benni: Parents and anyone in service to protect people.

 

What’s hanging above your sofa?

Rafi: A poster of the 1960s Batman TV show villains that was hung for a film shoot and never taken down. 

 

What is your most treasured possession?

Benni: My puppet Milly … Don’t ask.

 

What did you use your first paycheck on?

Rafi: I saved it. You have to save to help find success later. 

 

What is your biggest weakness?

Benni: Not knowing how to take time off.

 

How do you survive Mondays?

Rafi: Every day is a workday, so just like every other day: motivated and ready to create.

 

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Benni: Spinning the truth for personal gain. That, and someone chewing with their mouth open.

 

Which living person do you most admire?

Rafi: My father.

 

Who is the first person you share good news with?

Benni: My brother.
