The Chicago-based game inventor/developer and innovation consultant creates products for some of the world’s top toy and game companies. No matter the project, Vandenbroucke says there is one dynamite ingredient for a great game: fun.
The process to design a game is a creative maelstrom, and one that Vandenbroucke seems aptly suited for. “Following instructions and coloring within the lines were definitely not my strong suits when I was a child,” she says. “I firmly believe that having the opportunity to creatively problem solve on a regular basis started me on the path to invention.”
